Released on July, 2024

Summary

The Hire2Retire 6.6 release introduces a range of new features and enhancements based on customer requests and market needs, along with minor improvements focusing on usability and performance.

A notable feature is the Custom Access Integrations via REST Connectors, enabling seamless integration with third-party provisioning applications that support REST APIs. Users can now customize connectors for more efficient user management. Additionally, the support for Azure Security Groups in the Hybrid AD Integration workflow allows for dynamic management of group memberships, complementing existing support for Entra ID group types. The Paylocity Onboarding Module support facilitates preboarding within Directory Services before an employee's start date, while the new Email Writeback to Ceridian feature maintains business emails in Ceridian upon successful onboarding. Furthermore, Hire2Retire has expanded its SCIM provisioning capabilities by adding ten more additional third-party applications.

Hire2Retire also introduces the ability to send lifecycle emails from company-owned email addresses, enhancing onboarding communication. Custom Lifecycle Schedules feature allows condition-based scheduling of onboarding and termination processes based on employee profile types. The integration of Microsoft-supported SCIM Provisioning Applications simplifies user provisioning using RBAC and ABAC methods. Additionally, the On-Premises Agent has received enhancements in usability and performance, including easier connector maintenance, detailed exception reporting, and a comprehensive installation guide.

New Features

Custom Access Integrations using REST Connectors

Hire2Retire now supports integration with any third-party provisioning (access) application that supports REST API. The REST Connector facilitates the provisioning or deprovisioning of users for the selected lifecycle events. Users can define multiple REST Connectors within Access applications by providing the API definitions.

Support for Azure Security Group in Hybrid AD Integration Workflow

Hire2Retire now supports the management of Azure Security Group memberships, complementing the existing support for Microsoft 365 groups, Azure AD Distribution Lists and Mail-enabled Security groups. For users integrating with Hybrid AD ecosystem , Azure security group memberships are dynamically assigned or removed at runtime based on user-configured group mapping rules.

Paylocity Onboarding Support

Hire2Retire now supports integrations between the Paylocity Onboarding module and Directory Services. With this integration, employees in the preboarding stage can be preboarded in the Directory Service before their start date. A Paylocity Onboarding to AD integration workflow can be used alongside a Paylocity HR to AD integration workflow. After an employee is converted to the new hire status, the Paylocity HR to AD integration workflow will handle future changes and sync the employee profile to AD or Google Directory.

Ceridian Email Write-Back Support

Hire2Retire now offers functionality to write business emails back to Ceridian upon successful employee onboarding. Additionally, Hire2Retire will update email addresses during the employee lifecycle, ensuring improved communication and quicker response times.

Additional SCIM Connectors

Hire2Retire has further enhanced its SCIM provisioning capabilities by introducing support for ten additional third-party applications. Users can now establish seamless integrations between Hire2Retire and these applications, automating the provisioning and de-provisioning processes for targeted employees. The newly supported applications are: 1. AbsorbLMS 2. BeyondTrust 3. Bitsight 4. Canva 5. Certify Expense 6. Egnyte 7. Proxyclick 8. SAP Cloud Identity Service 9. VMWare Identity Service 10. Zoom

Enhancements

Send Lifecycle Emails from User-Defined Email IDs

With this enhancement, Hire2Retire now allows lifecycle notification emails to be sent from company-owned email addresses instead of the default hire2retire@robomq.io. Customers can now send lifecycle emails from their Google or Outlook email servers, improving the first-day experience for employees by increasing the organization's visibility in onboarding emails.

Custom Lifecycle Scheduling Option

Hire2Retire now supports condition-based schedules for both onboarding and termination processes. Users can configure different schedules based on employee types. For example, interns and full-time employees can have their onboarding processes initiated a specified number of days before their start date. Additionally, employees with day shifts, night shifts, or weekend shifts will have their termination processes scheduled to align with the end of their respective working hours.

Integration of Microsoft-Supported SCIM Provisioning Applications

Hire2retire now lists all Microsoft-supported SCIM applications on the access page for user convenience. It offers two methods for provisioning users in third-party applications: 1. User Provisioning Based on Group Membership (RBAC) 2. User Provisioning Based on User Attributes (ABAC) When Hire2Retire creates a user with specific attributes or assigns selected group memberships, it triggers Microsoft SCIM provisioning applications to provision users in the target applications.

Improved Usability and Performance of On-Premises Agent

Enhancements have been made to the usability and performance of the On-premises agent. These improvements facilitate easier maintenance of connector status and provide detailed exception reporting to end users. Additionally, a comprehensive installation guide is now available, offering step-by-step instructions and guidance for setting up the On-Premises Agent.

Other Improvements

  1. On-screen guide videos are now accessible at each core flow design step, providing easy guidance for end users.
  2. The side navigation bar on the core flow design page is now collapsible, allowing users to maximize their viewport for focused flow configuration.
  3. By default, mailNickname and sAMAccountName will be created with the case from HR attributes. Users will now have the option to convert them to lowercase if preferred.
  4. The "Does not start with" operator is now included in group expression definitions within OU and Group Mapping steps.
  5. Added support for the Ceridian attribute "employment status reason" for data mapping and lifecycle definition.
  6. Expanded support for Paycor employee-related attributes in Hire2Retire for data mapping purposes.
