Phase 8.3 Release Notes

Released on April, 2025

Summary

The Hire2Retire Phase 8.3 release adds a suite of new features and enhancements that improve the user experience and streamline the employee lifecycle management process. Emails sent to employees on leave can now be redirected to managers or specified accounts, preventing missed communications.

In addition, Hire2Retire's Supervised Run Mode is significantly improved with lifecycle-specific support, a refined UX, and the ability to approve previously rejected events. Hire2Retire has also added four new third-party applications for built-in SCIM integration and supports the use of webhooks for real-time data integration between Paylocity and Identity Provider (IdP) setups. Additionally, Paychex custom attributes are now supported for seamless data mapping.

New Features

Automated Email Forwarding for Employees on Leave

Hire2Retire can now automatically forward emails to managers while employees are on leave. Users can configure custom email forwarding rules for each of the different leave lifecycles in their Hire2Retire workflows. When a leave lifecycle event occurs, Hire2Retire will automatically redirect emails from the employee's inbox to their manager or other specified account(s). Email forwarding will stop when the employee returns from leave.

New Supported SCIM Provisioning Applications

Hire2Retire now supports built-in SCIM provisioning with four new third-party applications. Users can now create seamless integrations in Hire2Retire workflows that automate provisioning and de-provisioning for targeted employees between these applications and the Identity Provider setup:

  1. AS/400
  2. Auth0
  3. ImageRight
  4. Klaviyo

Enhancements

Error Highlights for Essential Workflow Fields

The Hire2Retire UX now highlights any incomplete or incorrect fields that block users from advancing in their workflow design. After saving, a red indicator line will point out any fields that need to be filled out or corrected, making them easier for users to locate and fix.

Paylocity Webhooks for Real-Time Data Transfer

Hire2Retire now uses webhooks to fetch and process employee data from Paylocity, allowing for immediate data synchronization between Paylocity and Identity Provider (IdP) setups. With webhooks, any lifecycle events in Paylocity are triggered and sent to the Hire2Retire workflow for processing in real-time.

Lifecycle-Specific Supervised Run Mode

Hire2Retire users can now select between automated or supervised run modes for each employee lifecycle and fully customize their Hire2Retire workflow’s automation level. Lifecycles set to supervised run mode will wait for manual approval before executing event changes. Lifecycles set to automated run mode will perform event changes without needing approval.

Approve Rejected Supervised Run Mode Events

Users can now approve rejected events in addition to pending events when using supervised run mode in Hire2Retire workflows. When viewing details for a previously rejected event, clicking the "Approve" button will approve and execute the event.

Support for Paychex Custom Attributes

Hire2Retire now supports Paychex custom attributes for data mapping to Identity Management Platforms, ensuring that all relevant user data, including custom attributes, are available across systems. The supported data types under custom attributes are:

  1. Number
  2. Text
  3. Boolean
  4. Date

Other Improvements

  1. Hire2Retire has streamlined the event review process for workflows using supervised run mode.
  2. Field labels have been updated to display more precise information for a better user experience.
  3. Hire2Retire will no longer automatically delete accounts under a litigation hold.
  4. Hire2Retire now supports the SSO User ID attribute for Everbridge SCIM integrations.
