Phase 7.6 Release Notes
Released on January, 2025
Summary¶
The Hire2Retire 7.6 release introduces key features and improvements that enhance employee lifecycle management, expand integration capabilities, and address customer feedback.
Support for Okta Universal Directory integrations enable automated employee lifecycle management in Okta. Support for date-typed HR attributes allows for more granular, date-based filtering to process employees within specific date ranges. Additionally, SCIM provisioning capabilities have been expanded to support more third-party applications, streamlining integrations and automating provisioning and de-provisioning tasks.
Terminology updates in the Hire and Rehire lifecycle align the UI with customer expectations by renaming "preboarding" to "onboarding" and "onboarding" to "hire". This change reduces confusion during employee transitions. Various minor enhancements have also been introduced to improve the user experience.
New Features¶
Support for Okta as a New Identity Management System¶
Hire2Retire now integrates with the Okta Universal Directory, enabling customers to automate employee lifecycle management within Okta. With Okta integrations, Hire2Retire can create, update, and terminate employee profiles and allow customers to manage privileges and access in Okta.
Support for Date-Typed HR Attributes¶
Hire2Retire now supports date-typed HR attributes, allowing customers to use those attributes in all filters within Hire2Retire. This enhancement provides more granular, date-based filtering options, allowing users to process employees within a specific date range. For example, users can filter employees whose termination date or hire date is after a selected date.
More Supported SCIM Connectors¶
Hire2Retire has expanded its SCIM provisioning capabilities by adding support for fourteen new third-party applications. Users can now establish seamless integrations between Hire2Retire and these applications that automate the provisioning and de-provisioning processes for targeted employees. The new supported applications are:
- HealthStream
- WSO2
- Compliance
- Flowcase
- Workiva
- Scoro
- Gravitee
- Curity
- Mural
- Zuora
- Broadcom
- Weights & Biases
- Adra
- Celonis
Enhancements¶
Operation Label Change in the Hire and Rehire Lifecycle¶
Feedback from Hire2Retire customers indicated confusion caused by the terms "preboarding" and "onboarding" in Hire2Retire. The issue arises mainly because HR systems use "onboarding" to manage employees before their start date and "new hire" to refer to employees after they join the team. To address this, Hire2Retire has updated its UI terminology, changing preboarding
to onboarding
and onboarding
to hire
to align with customer expectations
Other Improvements¶
- The Group Membership Assignment step now organizes group types based on their importance.
- For emails sent from customer-owned email servers, adding an email disclaimer is now optional instead of being the default behavior.
- Business Unit and Requisition Title attributes are now supported in ADP Recruiting integrations, enabling the population of title and department-related attributes in Active Directory.
- The Hire2Retire production documentation has been enhanced with detailed instructions for configuring flow settings.
- Hire2Retire now checks for existing pending requests in the same lifecycle when a new request is received for an employee, updating it with the latest details to improve request review efficiency.
- The API for fetching Exchange Online groups has been updated, significantly improving loading performance in the Hire2Retire user interface.
