Phase 7.1 Release Notes

Summary

In the Hire2Retire 7.1 release, several new features and enhancements have been introduced to enhance functionality and user experience.

A significant addition is the supervised run mode for employee processing, allowing workflow owners to review and approve employee changes before they are applied. Another major feature is the OneDrive reassignment upon termination, which grants access to a terminated employee's OneDrive to their manager and designated users. Additionally, Hire2Retire now supports integrations with ConnectWise, automating ticket creation for tasks such as new hire setup, position transition management, and departure processing. This release also includes support for four new SCIM connectors-Evidian, RSA ID Plus, Saviynt, and Playvox, further enhancing Hire2Retire's provisioning capabilities.

Customers will now receive notifications about new releases, highlighting the latest features and improvements. This feature is designed to keep users informed and notifications can be disabled if desired. Additionally, Hire2Retire now supports multiple Azure AD group memberships for defining roles on the Access page and creating conditions on the Service Desk page. Various minor enhancements have also been introduced to improve the user experience; these can be found in the detailed list below.

New Features

Supervised Run Mode for Employee Processing

In addition to the existing autopilot run mode, users can now operate the Hire2Retire workflow in supervised run mode. This mode allows the workflow owner to review, and approve or reject employee profile changes before they are updated in the identity management system.

OneDrive Reassignment upon Termination

Hire2Retire When an employee is terminated, access to their OneDrive will be granted to the employee’s manager or a list of designated users, ensuring continued access and management of the departing employee’s data.

Service Desk Support for ConnectWise

Hire2Retire now supports ITSM integrations with ConnectWise. Users can automate ticket creation under specified lifecycle phases, handling tasks such as employee onboarding setup, position transition management, and termination processing. This integration supports both Service Tickets and Project Tickets, optimizing workflow efficiency throughout these processes.

Additional SCIM connectors

Hire2Retire has expanded its SCIM provisioning capabilities by adding support for four new third-party applications. Users can now establish seamless integrations between Hire2Retire and these applications, automating the provisioning and de-provisioning processes for targeted employees. The newly supported applications are:
1. Evidian
2. RSA ID Plus
3. Saviynt
4. Playvox

Enhancements

New Release Notifications

Hire2Retire will now notify customers about the latest releases, highlighting new features and improvements. Customers will receive these notifications upon logging into Hire2Retire, and they will have the option to disable them if they prefer to avoid seeing the same notification multiple times. Notifications will be displayed on Hire2Retire for about seven days before and after the release goes live. Additionally, the release notes have been reorganized for easier access to newly released items.

Define Access Roles and Service Desk Conditions Using Group Memberships

Hire2Retire now supports multiple types of Azure AD group memberships for defining roles on the Access page and establishing conditions on the Service Desk page. All groups available in the target AD system will be accessible on these pages.

Other improvements

  1. Hire2Retire now supports additional Workday attributes to better meet customer needs.
  2. The product name has been updated from Azure AD to Entra ID, aligning with Microsoft's new naming convention.
  3. Error notifications for unconfigured operations will no longer be sent.
  4. A delete account option is now available under the termination lifecycle for ATS integration.
  5. Manager details are now included for Service Desk attribute mapping.
  6. Hire2Retire will now terminate all active sessions upon employee terminations.
  7. Users can now rename lifecycle email templates within Hire2Retire.
  8. The 12 AM and 1 AM scheduling options have been removed from event report scheduling to ensure all previous day’s pending events are completed.
  9. Hire2Retire has introduced a new group retention option in the termination lifecycle, allowing users to retain all groups except those specifically selected for removal.
  10. Hire2Retire has improved the event logging process for changes occurring only in group assignments.
