Azure IoT Actions

Actions are the operations (or API operations) that you can perform on Azure IoT by simple drag-drop and data mapping of elements and values from input trigger, derived values using formulas or desired constant that you may wish to map.

The action that you see below automates what you can do manually on Azure IoT.

Currently Connect iPaaS provides one action for Azure IOT.

Set up the Azure IoT action in your workflow

After selecting the action as "Send a new event or message" as below, you can continue to configure or set up your action parameter that will define what event you will send on the IoT device via Azure IoT.

You can construct the IoT data to send to the device by mapping the attributes from the trigger application. Also, you can use Excel-style functions to transform the data.

IoT Device

You have to select one value from the dropdown which shows all the IoT devices configured in your Azure IoT account.

IoT Data

IoT data is the data you wish to send on the above mentioned IoT device as an event. You can map this data from your trigger application. You can also use Excel-style functions to transform data before sending to you IoT device.
