Actions are the operations (or API operations) that you can perform on Twilio by a simple drag and drop and data mapping of elements and values from input trigger, derived values using formulas or a desired constant that you may wish to map.
The action that you see below automates what you can do manually on Twilio.
Set up Twilio action in your workflow¶
After selecting the action "Send Message" as below, you can continue to configure or set up your action parameter that will define what SMS you will send via Twilio.
You can map fields data using trigger data or you can use excel functions.
List of outbound numbers configured in your Twilio account. You can choose numbers from which you have to send the SMS message.
You can provide one or more contact phone numbers to which you want to send the new SMS message.
Here you can construct the text that you want to send as the SMS. Just like all other text inputs, this filed is made powerful by excel style functions and sophisticated Data Mapping and Transformation capabilities on Connect iPaaS. You can create a text block, which is populated with values from your trigger application. For example in Figure. 2 above, the "DEMO TEST" is the field that populated from the trigger event.
